We took a drive through Joshua Tree National Park today and will be moving there tomorrow. There are two campgrounds in the national park that the ranger suggested for the bigger rigs that we have. They are Jumbo Rock and Belle. Still tight (no services) but do able. You have to take up two or three sites to fit in (the sites run together) but that's the only way the bigger rigs will fit. Okay, with the rangers. Camping fee is $10 a day. There is a $15 park pass that you have to purchase and it is good for seven days. We are in Desert Hot Springs right now and just took the truck to check things out. Belle Campground is close to the North Entrance and the town of 29 Palms. Jumbo Rock Campground is farther down the main park road. We entered through West Entrance and the town of Joshua Tree and exited the North Entrance. Literature says cell phone service is sporadic. What I didn't like was literature says generators from 7-9a.m., noon to 2p.m., and 5-7p.m.
