Anyone add Slide Out Awnings on 3791RD
Hello,
Wondering if anyone has added slide out awnings on the 3791RD. We are having leaks in our new unit and wondering if this would help?
Also, if you did, can you tell me what size you bought? Looks like four of the slides are same size and the DS kitchen slide is larger.
Thanks
Bob

You should not have leaks at all even with slide toppers.

Toppers
Hi Bob,
I have a 2017 3791RD with the slide toppers added from the dealership. They worked it into the deal, but were around 2800 for all of them. They work great and seem to keep all the tree debris off and would highly recommend them.

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE LEAKS. slide out awnings may help but you have not resolved the problem.

We had Bullseye Mobil RV service in Phoenix, Az install our slide toppers on our 2018 3791RD. They came out and measured on a Monday and came back the following week and installed. We love them. This was after Our dealer Camping World messed around for 45 days and never got them installed as we requested.

Toppers will just hide the leak, where is it leaking from? When the slides are out check the rubber seals around them and make sure none are cracked. Or are you getting water in the unit when you retract the slides, that is a different issue and yes slide toppers will prevent water from puddling on top of the slides so when you retract them no water will get into your rig.

We are not getting water when the slides are closed.
For those of you that have put awnings on the slides would one of you send a pic of the one on the dinette? Not a lot of room between the slide and the awning and eTrailer said I would need 6”
Thanks

So when the dinette slide is out, that's when it's leaking and you're getting water inside? IMO, I'd take it back to the dealer to find out why it's leaking, it may not even be leaking at the slide itself, it may be leaking elsewhere and running down the roof to the slide and coming in that way. Slide toppers may prevent the water from coming in, however, you're not finding the underlying cause of the leak to begin with.
