Renewing RV Registration in Texas

Howdy,


Texas changed the rules/laws for registering vehicles; including RVs, before we left Texas. We will be back in Dec 2018 and will need to renew the registration at that time. I know that the new rules require an inspection. Has anyone had their 5'er inspected? If so, where, what did it cost, and what did they inspect?


Just want to make sure we are prepared.

I have had mine inspected each year since they changed the law. They checked the lights (tail, clearance, stop/turn) and the tires. That is all. $7. Some have reported they checked their brakes. But the place I go to does not.

I go to a local Goodyear tire store that does inspections. But I don’t know that all inspection stations do trailers. I would call first.
