Rear Stabilizer Problem
Rear stabilizers on our 2011 3400RL are operated by either remotely or by a rocker switch. This weekend when extending them with the remote, they quit working. Were inoperative with the rocker switch also. However, they are operative in the manual mode. Looked for an inline fuse, but couldn't find one. Anyone else had troubles with the stabilizers? Thanks

Check and see that you are getting power to the motor. If so, the motors have been know to accumulate water thru the hole where the wires go in and become inoperable.

X2 to what DQDick said, ours went "south" before the warranty was up and the dealer ended up replacing the whole motor and mechanism.

Maybe ... just maybe .... road crap (or rust) has accumulated in the pivot points to the point where it is enough to overcome the inertia of the electric motor. I'd get on my back and give them a close examination and a pull or two and a cleaning and a squirt of something slippery. Who knows ... it just might work.

Can't help you diagnose, but out rear stabilizers stopped working as well - Keystone replaced them (we were within the warranty year). Even if you're out of warranty, if there is a history of the rear stabilizers failing, they may replace yours even if past your time, so definitely contact Keystone. We have a 2011 as well.....
Good luck!

We also replaced our motor due to water intrusion.

My wife's relatives are here from Canada with there Montana and it had the same problem, I tore the motor apart and found water intrusion and where the brush on the motor was near the bottom, the spring that pushes on the brush against the armature was rotted and therefore the brush was not making contact. I took a spring out of a pen, not the same as the existing but it worked, cut it down to length and all is up and going again, took about an hour to fix. Can not believe the price they want for them things...
