looking for a warmer get away

My wife and I get to leave our jobs for a get away from just before Xmas to a week after the new year and we are looking for suggestions on places to pull the house to for some fun and relaxation. We are looking for places above the freezing temp. with things to do and see. Any idea's?

I would suggest either New Orleans or San Antonio. Both are under 1000 miles from where you live and both have lots to do there. No matter where you go this time of year, you may still get some cool weather, but should be much warmer than Iowa.

Send a message via Yahoo to NCFischers
Myrtle Beach, SC is nice. It may be a bit far for you, though.

Come out here to Arizona, it's nice and warm.... usually. It's in the high 50's today, but the Sun is out and feels good.

I think there are a few of us MOC'ers down there, you might want to get together for coffee over at Lulu's.
It is nice here, I love the dry weather. Have a safe trip down.

Bryan-- When you get down to Gulf Shores check around and I think you'll find some of the MOC members down there already.
If you'd like to meet us in Nebraka in July, come and enjoy some hospitality and meet some of the MOC members that are on here. We will be holding the 3rd Annual MOC Central Plains Regional Rally. Check out the posts under Regional Rallies here on MOC. Last years posts are still there for the CPRR but will be eliminated within a month or so and new posts will start for the 2012 CPRR. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email or PM. I'll try and answer them!
Have a safe trip down to Gulf Shores and back and who knows we may cross paths down there also. We're heading South after Christmas sometime to get away from this cold also!
