LED Lights

Last week we were in Yuma at the Passport America Rally. While there, we went to the Arizona Market Place (Yuma'a Swap Meet) and found bright LED lights that replace the current incandescent bulbs. The lights were $17 each (with 10 LEDs) which meant $34 per fixture. During the "Q" circling, we saw complete units at $36 each.

Bottom line is: we got enough lights to replace the incandescent bulbs in all 6 of our ceiling lights. The light we get now is much whiter and brighter than before and with much less power drain. I forgot to mention that while at the Yuma Rally, we were dry camping. The DW is very happy with the additional light from the overheads and I like the lesser drain on the battery system.

I'm interested in doing this type of swap also. Can you furnish a vendor, brand name, etc. so I can check for info on the LED lights?

Thanks, wd

They are very expensive, at least the ones worth their salt. I tried some cheaper ones, and they are a waste of money, some of the light cells flicker on and off. I keep coming back to Super Bright LED's. Replacing a few at a time.

We started to replace our interior lights with LED units this summer. Not just the bulbs, but he completer unit. Double dome pancake , 12v, 22 amp, 2.6 watts. Size is 11"x4.5"x1.5".
Much brighter white light, and run really cool. Can't feel any heat at all. They make a real difference when boon-docking. We purchased the brand KAPER 11, www.kaperii.com.
They have been great so far! Our cost about $62 for the doubles and 35 for the singles. Pricey but worth it IMO.

I haven't detected any heat of concern. Of course, any light will generate some heat. But it still seems to be less than the incandescent.

I can't remember the vender. All I can tell you is that I got them at the Arizona Market Place (Yuma's swap meet) located at 4th Street and 3200 (Bus I-8). The stall was A-29, so go to the "A" tent.

Good luck.
