MorRyd pins marked wrong.

Just talked with MorRyde about seeing pin boxes marked 15,500GVW and the 5er gross at 15,650GVW.
These pin boxes have been rerated at 16,500GVW . If you presently have one of these boxes on your 08, 10 or a 2011, call MorRyde customer service and they will send you the correct sticker for your box.

Wonder if Keystone is putting the new stickers on the units coming out the door. Guess I will know in a couple of days.

Ain't this a great Country or what? You can fix most anything with a sticker.

Hate to sound negative, but is a sticker going to make that hitch more reliable and stronger in tensile strength? I doubt it.

It just so happens, that it is a verrrrrrrrryyyyyyy strong sticker!!!!. Almost as good as the one that magically changed the axles a couple years back and strengthened the alloy rims to allow them to hold more air pressure!! Ahhhh, the marvels of engineering!!!!

The service center for MorRyde said they retested to recertify the pin boxes. They are not just changing a sticker without retesting.

I talked to the Mor/Ryde rep at the Hershey RV show about this issue and was told the same hitch can be rated up to 19k. It apparently depends on what the frame and trailer manufacturer requested is how they label it. I was told to contact the dealer and get the appropiate label.

While we're on the subject of stickers, I just finished the factory tour, and asked about the sticker for the axle weight (max. axle weight 6750). The 2010 and 2011 and later will actually be 7000 lb. axles, but have been derated by Keystone to 6750 lbs. to give a safety margin of 250 lbs. per axle. This all sounds good, but I am not completely satisfied with this answer.

Maybe they should use the same glue on the decals.

We're at the Rally and Gary from Mor/Ryde put a new uprated sticker on my hitch pin yesterday afternoon after we returned from the factory tour. It has been less than a day but I can already feel the increase in capacity! I think it is all in the glue. Strong stuff!

I put my MorRyd Pin on about 3 months ago. Got it from Tweety's, and it came with 19K sticker.
