I poped that 30 amp maxie fuse on my Ford when the battery went dead, from the service repair shop you dont want to try and lift the forward legs or the slides untill you have a suffant charge othewise it will pop it.

You can close the glides by hand?!?!?!? How is that done?
Grant,

On the hydraulic pump you will see a note on how to do it by hand.

Yes, you are supposed to remove the protective sticker on top of the hydraulic pump motor and use a drill with the proper socket on it to spin the pump motor. One way to open, and the other direction to close the slides.

I didn't see any instructions on my pump. Nice to know info. I love you guys!

Wow, another great informative post. I thought sure it would be just the slow trickle to the battery. Didn't know about the fuse in the truck for charging. Also, since we boondock, knowing how to get the slides in without power is great (where's that darn drill, now). We do have the 6v batteries and the Honda 2000. I noticed in two days of boondocking in Colordo that our batteries stayed the same the whole trip. It was great. We monitor daily status at the monitor panel for water, waste and power. Thanks for all the great info.

Yes, it is good to know how to get the slides in the mechanical way, as if the hydraulics fail, even using a drill will not operate the slides.

We're good again! 30amp maxifuze was blown. I went to Auto Zone and got 2 new Smart fuzes which have a diode that glows when the fuze blows. Jumper cables are in the truck, the drill is charged, and the proper bit is attached to the handle. Now 6 volt batteries, a generator, a beer (maybe a few), and we're golden. Thanks everyone for all the help.
