Drawer Glides

After a few months of use a couple of the drawer glides have ceased to operate properly. This is caused by the ballbearing strips coming out from between the sliding runners. This is because the weight of the drawer when open widens the fixed part of track. The dealer will replace them but I wonder if it would be better to replace them with conventional drawer slides? The slides Montana uses don't seem up to the job, especially as the drawers in the kitchen of our 07 3075 are poorly supported allowing the slides to twist and flex.

Seems to me that if you know what Montana is using is inadequate, replace it with some heavy duty parts from the local hardware. I made gliding pull out drawers for our other unit and used the heaviest duty ones I could find--just because I know what kind of abuse the supports will take in an RV.

All that being said, it's still a challenge to find the heavy duty glides the right size. I ended up having to cut mine to fit with my dremmel.
