Power Booster

I bought this power booster today and all reports I have read rate it very high. It has a built in Surge Protector on each leg which is higher than any other on the market. This company has the best prices.
Hugh's is now operated by a creditor and most reports I have read on Franks are not that good. The overall price is more reasonable then buying separately. If anyone has used this product please let me know how you like it.

Todd use to work for Hugh's and wanted to make some improvements. The owner didn't want to so they parted ways.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
That's exactly how Frank's started. He also felt he had a better idea. Left Hughe's and started his own business. Who know's this could be Frank's on his second imitation.

I love my Hughe's and I would have a very tough time switching to any other brand.

I love my Hughes also. I had a Franks. In fact I had two of them, one 30 amp and one 50 amp. I now have just the Hughes 50 amp. Neither one of the Franks autoformers were any good and I couldn't get Franks to back them up.

I am not averse to expanded competition in any sense (particularly if it drives prices down!!), but I will defend Hughes, regardless of who is operating the company. At our last trip last year, our Hughes Autoformer appeared to have lost a leg. We purchased the unit less than two years ago and called Hughes to see how best to approach this situation. They will honor the warranty and rather than wondering what is wrong will simply replace the internals on the unit and send it back. Now granted, I have to pay shipping both ways, but I readily will do that to get a rebuilt unit. I can only hope that the other manufacturers will honor their warranties in the same manner. As always, keep us all informed so that others can make more informed decisions in the future!!

I did not mean to upset anyone. The Powermaster has increased the surge protection to 3580 joules. The gentleman I talked to did not run down the Hugh's product but said most failure happen in the first year like most other electronics.I think more competition hopefully increases the quality off the product. Then we will all get a better products
