Propane odor new 3295RK Big Sky

We picked up our new 3295RK Big Sky about 2 weeks ago. We have a few minor things that will be straighten out next Friday. One of the things on the list is slight propane odor coming from the curb side tank compartment. We were having this problem and it was noted and worked on extensively while we were transferring from our old rig to the new . The leak is better but still noticable. We have shut down that tank and disconnected the tank from the rig. We positioned the change over lever on the street side tank to the street side tank. We have been using the rig in the yard at home while we had our children visiting. It has been cool in Central fl and we have been using heat especially the last few days. Early this morning we woke up to a smell of propane mostly in the bedroom area. I checked the tank we were using and it appears to be empty. Orange is showing on the indicator window on top of the regulator. We shut down all the gas items and went on electric heat. My question is if the tank went dry, why we were getting a propane odor in the coach. The alarm did not sound. This does not appear to be related to the priviously known leak problem While on that subject , we will be installing another propane alarm up front. The one in the kitchen is just too far away.
I will be be talking to our dealer tomorrow and I do not anticapate any problems getting everything taken care. We are very please at our dealers responsiveness.
Any thought or ideas on this subject would be appreciated. Thanks
