See ya on I-20 West

We're off on schedule with one little glitch. It's cold in Fort Worth and the dump valve is frozen (27'), so we're taking everything with us. We're heading toward Carlsbad, probably arriving tomorrow as there's a great football game on tonight that Glen won't want to miss. So starts our adventure to the southwest!

Drive safely and stay warm. Remember, it's a constant 58 degrees down in that big cave. Be sure to get the head phones. I think they are 1/2 price with the Golden Age passport. There is a restaurant at the bottom. Kinda fun to eat lunch 700ft below the ground.

Thanks, Lisa. We arrived in Pecos, TX and are staying at the Escapees RV Park south of town, Exit 40. Believe me, there aren't many RV parks out this way so plan your trip carefully. This is a nice park. We're in a pull-through and didn't unhitch for the night. Glen's very disappointed....no cable and the BIG football game is on schedule tonight. You can't imagine how disappointed he is. I, on the other hand, am enjoying the free WiFi!

Helen, thanks for the tips about the Caverns. We like to tour with headphones as we can go at our own pace, which is becoming rather slooooowwwww!
