Slideout pushing up carpet 3900FB

Hello, just wondering if anyone has experienced this issue and what the remedy might be. We have a 2014 Montana 3900FB and it has come to our attention that where the lower two slides come together and where the bedroom slide comes to a stop in front of the dresser the carpet is being lifted an inch or two. Not sure if it's slide adjustment or i just need to re-stretch the carpet. I could see it being a slide adjustment if it were just the bedroom or the living room but both? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Not having that issue with our 3900 FB. Does sound like a carpet stretch may be in line.

I think you will find that "stretching" carpet in your Montana is not needed OR something that can be done. I have read several places while researching carpet replacement that this carpet is stapled down over the entire surface using many staples.

Thanks for your reply Steve. It's just odd it's happening to the living room and bedroom at the same time.

My response from Keystone.

Good morning Mr. Pierce,
Thank you for contacting Keystone RV with your inquiry. We will suggest that the carpet should remain as designed. We will not advise that you modify the carpet.
I hope you find this information helpful. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact Keystone RV at ownerrelations@keystonerv.com or 866-425-4369 Monday – Friday 9am to 4pm Eastern time zone.

Thank you,

We have the same problem with the bedroom slide in our 3900FB also.
Been living with it. It has not been a problem so far.
Thanks for posting Keystones response.

Hi

Have someone that is very current and competent in adjusting the slides. Ours is a 2009 and has been used a lot 90,000 miles worth and we seldom drive at night. The carpet is dirty and I am getting tired of paying $150 to get it cleaned with super heated steam so we are pricing a solid floor covering.

The only time we had a carpet problem was when new and the end wall of the large slide had not been properly installed by Keystone on several units. They repaired some and refused others mine was refused I paid $10,000 to replace the wall and that stopped the problem. Still the carpet wasn’t damaged just merked.

No carpet problems in either of our Montana's. Helen has a Kirby system that she uses to clean the carpet in both the RV and the S &B .It does a great job.

Hi

Super heat steam doesn’t wet the flooring under the carpet and the carpet is dry so you can walk on it in 15 min.
