Louvered Tailgate thread summary?

Would someone be willing to post a thumbnail of what the 35 pages on Louvered Tailgates is all about? I just don't feel like reading 35 pages on that topic.

I dropped in one day, it seemed to be a bit silly.... which immediately caught my interest.
But I am easily distracted, haven't been back.

Started out as a debate on the pros and cons of louvered tailgates. Then it took on a life of it's own.

I was like OZZ. I dropped in one day to see what there could possibly be to talk about on the many pages. I thought it was more or less a BS session on nothing. I think Waldo gets the GOLD star for starting the thread. He probably is unsubscribed to it. Probably got tired of reading the post....JB

The first part of the thread was good info and like the other guys I stopped looking after it got to be a test of how many pages can be generated---I think that all that jibberish is not what is good for this forum --- lets keep the forum on the level for which it was intended and the BS can go somewhere else !!!!!!!

It is always good to hear what the new guy thinks.

Seemed like a good way for a few to entertain themselves and have some laughs, after the main topic was put to bed of course.

Cabin fever - or maybe Monty in storage blues - I think. Either way, it goes away in the spring .

Think you are right on bsmeaton. Good thing about computers. Just like TV's. They have an OFF and ON switch. Good for the fever though... It's about 7 degrees outside...JB

Seems like the Louvered Tailgate thread is what this thread is about. Having fun and conversing. At least it is all in one place and there is not a different topic started for each persons post. That would be very hard to keep up with. I am a Webmaster and Forum Administrator for a military MC club and know what a benefit it is to have one thread that is just pure bull. Alos we have one thread that is "Jokes and Humor." Everyone that has a joke posts it to the end of that thread in one continuing saga. 100's of pages. The nice thing is you know what is post there is bull or jokes and humor and you don't have to open it up if you don't want to. I like the reprieve from the good and sane information that is posted.

It could be looked at as "fun" "humor" or maybe "satire" however one wants to look at it, as Waynem stated, it is just having fun and conversing. I think the goal of the thread now, once the initial question was discussed to infinitum, is to see how many pages it will go. Even this thread shows that the topic is still being looked at and checked out by lurkers, just look at the number of views it has. Even Waldo said though his search for knowledge on the subject was satisfied long ago he still checks it out. Looking back at the overall discussion it seems to have gone from a search for technical information to a practice of satire.

Darn spell checker!

It appears that some people like them and some don't.

That should summarize the topic.
