2003/2004 Chevy/GMC Speedometer Problems
Saw this story today. http://www.nbc5i.com/news/14596687/detail.html
If you are having or have had a speedo problem on your '03/'04 Chevy/GMC, looks like GM will fix it under an extended warranty program. Might even get a refund if you already paid for it yourself.

BB_TX, Thanks for posting here! I had my speedo replaced last year. Will follow up with the dealer to see if I qualify for reimbursement. Thanks again!
On follow-up with GM, looks like I qualify since my speedo was replaced last year with 69,600 miles (just barely - whew!). GM is sending me the forms to complete and request reimbursement of about $450. What an awesome site!

Good info to have. Before my 05 I had an 03 Silverado with over 73,000 miles on it without incident but I guess not everyone will be that fortunate.

87,000+ on my 04 without incident so far...will have to keep watching.
