Stove vent light?

My light above the stove has burnt out. (A little soon I would think) So this question is for anyone who may have the black stove vent or a 2004 model. The little plastic piece that covers the light, and needs to be removed to replace the bulb is somewhat difficult to remove. I don't want to force it and break it. So does anyone have a tip, trick, or technique for removing this plastice cover?
