Furnace Won't Turn On
On our way to 7 Feathers. Last night the furnace didn't come on. Today I checked and the blower didn't start up before the furnace.
Any ideas?

take the outer panel off and see if there is a red light flashing on the circuit board. The code the light flashes (1,2, or 3 flashes) helps point the tech in the right directions.
Also try wiggling the wires that go to (and from) the switch that is mounted on the blower housing. Cycle the switch a few times as well. I had to replace the little blue connectors on these wires as they were not making good contact one time and this caused my furnace to fail. I have also heard of the switches going bad that would also cause your problem.
Not sure what else to suggest past those things ..... good luck.

Had something similar happen in ours this spring.....ended up taking it to the dealer as everything we tried didn't work. They ended up replacing the motherboard on the furnace without cost since we had just purchased it a few months before.

I know it may be a dumb question, but did you check to see that you had propane flowing like lighting a burner?
You also might go online to the manufacture's support site, plug in your model number and see if there are trouble shooting guides. I also had a shorted ignition wire. It was about a five dollar fix. Won't be that much if you have wire and connectors. Assemble your own replacement. I bought the prefabricated one.

First of all, thanks for all of the responses.
Now for the rest of the story. Last week while preparing for 7 Feathers I had time before packing, so I decided to put in two 120vac outlets in the basement. I have always wanted to do that, but didn't know how to get the AC into the basement. We are prewired for Washer/Dryer - but don't have a W&D.(I also capped off the hot & cold water lines so I don't have to winterize those lines) So with 20&30 amp circuit breakers not being used, I ran Romex from the basement into the circuit breaker. I had to reach over the furnace to drill a hole in a wall. I fed the Romex through the hole in the basement to the circuit breakers. I used flush mount metal boxes and metal conduit.
Following Wingerphil's advise, I went out to check the circuit board for flashing lights and found a little black switch on top of the furnace, right where my arm was reaching over the furnace. I flipped the switch and the blower started up followed by the furnace starting up. Heat is a wonderful thing when you are cold.
Again, thanks for the responses.

glad you got it fixed, now send us some of that cooler weather! We went from storms to sweltering heat here in the midwest, been in the 90's everyday.
Enjoy the rally!
