Opinions Wanted...

I was checking the battery today and to my surprise everything was good. I didn’t need to add anything to the level. Anyway I took this shot while in the compartment.

With the slides out the reservoir level is at 50%. The leak has looked like this for over a year and is apparently very slow. I’ve not had any problems with the slides and I haven’t added any fluids either. I leave a rag lying around the pump to soak up what little leakage there seems to be. I was wondering if this is a common/normal sight when others look at their pump. If not, then what is the remedy for it? What is your opinion?

Is it just the shadow or is that a drop at the bottom of the first knob.

I had the same tiny dribble, I just tightened the packing nut on that knob. If you go to the rally this year get one of the 180 degree manifolds, then you wont have to twist all those knobs, just a 180 turn and they are off or on...

If that is the leak at the knob, I would suspect a bad o-ring. But if it isn't giving you any problem, I would leave well enough alone. Maybe in time you will need to replace it. with time on your side see if you can get a parts breakdown from the manufacturer of the valve assembly to see what seals you need.

We had the new style shutoffs on ours and they would leak from time to time, tighten the packing nut and cured to leak. I'ld give it a shot.

My guess is you'll have to get one of the 1/2 turn ones Dave mentioned and cut it in half.
