sealand seal

Well, the potty is failing to hold its water. Looks like I need a new seal. I am having a hard time getting the info I need off the net. A phone number for service and parts would be very helpful.

I copyed this post for you.
Mine is doing the same thing. I called Dometic yesterday at 1-800-321-9886 and talked to Shirley. She was very nice and is sending the replacement seal free of charge. She said it has been "re-designed". She will need the model number of your Sealand Toilet when you call. Take the plastic cover off the front lower portion, mine was velcro'd on, and there is a white tag with the model #.

Stiles,
I was having trouble with mine not holding water and called Sealand. They said they had installed the wrong seal on some that year and sent me the right one. You may have the same problem.

Stiles,

In the mean time, try putting a little coat of Vaseline on the seal to see if that will help.

I seem to remember it was Shirley that I spoke with also. But that was 3 yrs ago so not completely sure.
Ours stopped holding water after a year. I called Sealand. "Shirley" told me how to take it apart, clean the seal, lube it with a food grade oil such as Pam, then put it back together. Said if it still did not hold water, she would send a new seal.
Still holds water 3 yrs later.
I did notice the seal was not quite centered around the hole before I took it apart. Was careful to make sure it was centered when I put it back together.

Stiles,
We had a seal that was not sealing. I coated the seal with CLR several times and snapped the pedal several times until it sealed....if you use this method, make sure you flush your tank real well.

Stiles,
Mine is a china foot flush, left side, here is the seal it takes:
385311462 Kit, no holes 2001 and newer
Fits 510, 511, 910, 911, 911-M28, 912-M28, 913-M28, 980, 2010, 2011.
The overflow holes are inside the toilet bowl.
Replace the ball with the seal when you do.
IF yours is the same as mine.
There are two seals, one with overflow (has a hole in it)
One without a hole in it. Mine has no overflow, thus no hole.

Hope this helps you bud.

Stiles, ours came with a tool that looks like a tongue suppressor and instructions as to cleaning the seal. Not sure if applies but you might ask the question. Ours has leaked a couple of times, used the tool and success. Larry
