Rabun Lake
We're off to Rabun Lake NFS Campground near Clayton, Georgia for a couple of weeks. No internet.

Dreamer,
Is that little camp called LaPrades still operating in that vicinity?
We spent a night there years ago and have never forgotten it.
Let us know!

Lamar and Debbie,
give us your "review" and directions. We live just up the road from Clayton @ Sylva NC. Not quite sure where Rabun Lake is? Down from the school? Tks. Dennis

Dennis and Judy, Since FulltimeDreamer does not have internet, I'll share my memory about Lake Rabun. I think it is between Clayton, GA and Tallulah Falls--off to the west from US 441. We stayed near there many years ago at a lodge/camp called LaPrades which had family style meals and very rustic cottages. We never went back but have always remembered it with delight.
Our trip up that way almost always includes a stop at the Jarret House in Dillsboro, and often in Sylva. We first visited Sylva in 1960 when I preached at a little mountain church called Olivet over near Cherokee. We've been back many times. We have a friend who is president of the Southwest Community College, though I think he is retiring this year and moving back here to Texas.
Please excuse if this departs too much from the purpose of the topic.

Thanks for the info. It's a shame we can't place it but your description will help. We usually head back to Sylva in the Spring from our home in Fla to here and travel from here. We have a home at the Balsam area and love it plus we can keep our Montana on the property. Balsam is between Sylva and Waynesville. Tks. Dennis
