water leak

Hi
I have a 2007 RKD Mountaineer, with a leak to the right of the frig. on the wall near the slide. Carpet is wet, but can't find out how it is getting wet. Under frig is dry and side walls are dry. Thanks for any help.

Is the refrigerator drain run properly?

Yes the frig drain is OK. It runs out the rear of the vent cover for the frig, at the rear of the trailer.
THANKS

Dan, go outside and look at the fat soft gasket around the slide, it should ALL be pointing toward the outside. If it isn't that is probably the problem, you can do one of two things. One is bring the slide in about a foot, then reverse it and start it heading out and look around the facia and see if the gasket is pointing out. If it isn't then you can just tuck it back out and continue running it out all the way. The other method is to take your awning rod and slide it under the gasket on the outside and "help" the gasket to flip toward the outside... Dave

Do a search on "refrigerator vent." I posted a long fix for one of the things that was found to leak.

As for that "outside gasket," it is nothing but a wiper seal. It removed any water on the side of the slide when it is retracted. The actual seal is around the frame of the slide.

Ask Jaybird how they ended up with a strange leak which sounds just like yours. I can't remember the exact details, but it had to do with the black tank flush valve.
