Road Trip

Getting ready to pull out from Vista, Ca. and head to the old home place in Kentucky. Sending the teenager ahead on the plane, piece of sanity for mom and me. Travelling the 40 to Oklahoma, city and then the 44 to St. Louis the I-64 into Grayson,Ky. Anything I need to know about anything will greatly be appreciated. Leaving 6-27 at noon sharp. Big discussion about propane tanks on or off.

Might want to keep your eye on the flooding reports for St. Louis, may be over by the 27th. Not sure it has started yet.

We travel with the propane on, frig and in the really cold winter weather for the furnace. Turn off for re-fueling. Very controversial, you will get tons of opinions I am sure. Read em, then go with what is in your comfort zone.

Enjoy the trip!!

Are you going to be staying at one of the local parks in KY?

No staying at local parks. Going to set up on the family farm, although we are only 12 miles from either Cartercaves or Grayson lake.

Take lots of dollar bills, quarters, and dimes for the I44 toll road--it cost me about $20.00 in fees from OKC to Mo. line--
