Misleading Sticker

When I installed the splendede combo, I noticed a sticker on the rear wall that stated; "ATTENTION, this drain does not empty into any holding tank and must be hooked directly to a sewer." I can't remember the exact words but you get the drift. Since I installed a shutoff valve at the end of my sewer drain, I thought I would check it out. Opened the valve, stuck a hose in the washer drain, turned the water on and guess what, nothing came out. Of course the water was going into my grey 1 tank. Does anyone else have the sticker?

I do not know if we have the sticker but our washer drains directly into the sewer.

Ours goes in the gray tank, wish it went in the sewer.

Ours drains into the shower grey tank. Use caution to not overflow the tank while washing, water will back up and spill out into the bedroom. We overcome this issue by keeping the grey tank open to the sewer and only close it for say one day or morning to catch a shower or two for flushing out the lines after a back tank flush.

Those W/Ds are all different. In our 3400RL, it went in the sewer line. In our MH, since it makes sense, I thought it too would drain in the sewer line. We keep the cat's litter box in the shower...I realized the W/D was going into the gray tank when the litter box started to float.

Can't see behind it for a sticker, but mine also goes to the grey tank.

When they built our 2005 (3400RL) our sticker stated; “ATTENTION, this drain empties into the black tank”. It now is hooked directly to the sewer!!! Good work Keystone.

A washer could fill up a holding tank pretty quick. But what if you are staying somewhere that doesn't have sewer and has pump out service? I guess you can't use your washer. You need a gate valve.

Wayne. You can solve that problem with a tote.
