Wine Rack

Here is the wine rack some of you wanted to see. The center off-set bar holds the bottles in place. Sliding it up and out will give access to the bottles. A slotted wedge system holds the bar in place.

You seem to favor California reds. May I come over?

Rudi,

You plan on running down the road with the bottles in place?? Have you made any provisions for possible bounce, so that the bottles will not break?

Very nice!
Have you noticed any problem with the heat vent that close?

Al - The bottles fit pretty tightly into the space. I WLL be lining the retaining walls with some foam weather insulation to address the bounce situation.

drhowell - I just installed the wine rack and have not yet been able to observe whether or not the bottles will be affected by the heat. But, that's a good point. If necessary, I may have to make a heat deflection shield.

Dave e Victory,

Should we ever run into each other sometime down the road, we'd be happy to host you with some wine. Actually, I also like reds from Chilie and Australia.

Good,
I will bring along a Syrah I made last spring. It is just starting to mature nicely.
