2955 RL Hot Air Circulation Question
Ran the furnace for the new Monty a couple of days ago. Lots of air from the bedroom vent and in the rear by the recliners, but the two kitchen vents had hardly any air movement from the vents at all. Is this normal or are we talking possible warranty issue?

I am not sure if there is a difference in the piping layout between yours and ours but not likely. Ours blows most of the hot air out the rear two (LR and K) registers with little coming out the BR register. With the inconsistency of air movement between units, the least Montana could do is put adjustable registers on each outlet. We slide a magazine part way over the rear register to force more ahead. It is kind of a hokey in my book to have to do this with a unit in this price range.

We have a 2001 and all of our vents flow well. We did change the vent registers to adjustable ones, which helps keep the water closet from overheating, and allows adjustment for the bedroom.

Bob and Pam, You have a furnace vent in the water closet? We do not. Is this something that we are supposed to have?

As I understand it the water closet vent is something relatively new. These may have come about as a result of conversations about this issue here on the MOC.
Several folks have changed out their registers. Obviously adjustable registers will allow you to control the air flow better than the ones that come from the factory which are not adjustable.
But you should have the "pipes" checked just to make sure they are all OK. Perhaps something was not put together correctly or has come loose. But I suspect that is just the way the system works. We get very little air out of our bathroom and bedroom vents compared to the LR/K area vents.
Good luck.

We have a 2005 34.75RL Monty and I just added the uneven furnace air flow to the list of things needing correcting on our unit. We don't have a vent in the water closet and the heat pours out in the bedroom under the overhang on the king bed. The middle vent in the livingroom doesn't put out any heat either. Hopefully, we don't have to replace them!

I believe that the vent in the water closet has more to do with the model rather than with the year. For sure, our 2002 2955RL has such a vent (which does, in fact, work too well some of the time). On the other hand, I would say that we have never perceived there to be a problem in regard to the 'balance' between the main rooms of the unit. Ours seems to work pretty well. No complaint on that score.

We seem to get air flow fairly nicely throughout each register...probably more so by the recliners in the rear and the kitchen.

Our 05 3475 has good air flow in bedroom and aft living area. Kit hardly any air flow and that one is the closest to the furnace. Have checked for obstructions. None. It does absolutly no good being there. However, the temp seems to be fairly even throught the coach.

Our 2001 2880RL had the vent in the water closet (got way too hot in there) but our 2003 3295RK does not (gets way too cold in this one).
It seems odd there would be good airflow to both ends but not to the middle. Usually, the closer the vent to the furnace the more airflow it gets with the distant ones getting less. This sounds like there's some blockage or maybe a hole in a line somewhere.
Where is the furnace in the 2005 2955RL? At the factory tour we were told they're now putting the furnace closer to the bedroom to get more heat to that area. If that's where yours is then the rear vent would be the farthest and should get the least air if everything is working correctly, right?
