Axle Ratings?

How can I find the axle weight rating for a 2003 3670RL if the axle tags have NOTHING on them?

When you check with the manufacturer, remember that Canada and the US rate the axles differently (as I remember, Canada rates the axles lower), so a 6000 lb axle in Canada is a 7000 lb axle in the US. Sometimes confusing when reading the part numbers and ratings.

When you say "axle tag", do you mean the actual axle or the tag attached to the outside of the camper?

At the Fall Rally last year, I crawled under my 2005 (actually manufactured in May of 2004) to check the stamp on the axle. That is where I was told it could be found. I did not find anything stamped but found painted on the axle '5200'. I was told this was the axle rating. On the manufacture's tag under the bedroom slide on the outside of the camper, it states that the axle rating is "5080" which is the 5200# axles. Seeing that yours is a 2003, you may also find it painted on the axle.

I was surprised that they were 5200# not 6000#. Others were surprised to see that I had the 8 bolt wheels.

On my 05 Montana, the axle weight rating was stamped on the Axle.
A generous 8K!

My '05 Challenger has 6000 lb ALKO-Kolber axles with the 8 lug hubs. However, as of this spring it has 3500 lb spring packs instead of the 3000 lb packs.
