My apologies

My apologies to all you Forum Folk who espoused Bounce to attack the bugs on the front of the Montana. I only half believed you. Well, Bounce is more than good it is outstanding in its bug removal capacity.

When Dianna broke her foot/ankle, I made a speedy run from New York to Houston. That's 1,900 miles in three days. The last day was over 800 miles, so there was night driving and bugs galore. The Montana sat for over 2 months with that accumulation of insect gizzards plastered across Monty's face -- well seasoned, dried and baked.

So I says to myself. "Why don't I try that Bounce thingy." Kawabonga!!! The bugs just rolled off. This is fantastic!!! or maybe just Bounce. Bounce is the miracle drug of bug removal!!!

Not only did I do the bugs, but I tried it on the road splatter underneath and down the face of the front storage. Bounce slicked off the road tar and splatter too as if it was all bugs. Wow!!!

So with hat in hand and full of contrition, I apologize, but with a big grin when I look at my showroom clean Monty.

Stiles,

I found that bounce is great for removing all types of stains.

Just recently, after I heard (Parrothead) a MOC member expound the virtues of using bounce on the RV shower stall glass, and boy was I surprised that it worked so darned easily and did a great job, quickly.

Being open to new ideas is not a bad idea?

It is also a great mosquito repellent, rub some on and leave the sheet in your pocket.

I had success removing mildew from the plastic trim using awesome full strength and scrubbing with Mr Clean Magic eraser. I cleaned it off my 2003 Big Sky after it had set in storage for 19 months. It was an all day job but it did come white again. It was hard work.

I have used the Cholox bleach pens in combination with Awsome, (first Awsome, then Chlorox). It can be done with a lot of elbow grease, but for what it costs to buy new vinyl strips at CW, you might better just replace them as needed.

Tile-X Mold and Mildew spray will take the work out of removing mold from plastic and will make the underside of your awning look like new also. Bob

I am glad Tile X worked for someone. It did not work for me on the plastic strips in question. It does, however, work great in the shower of our old stick house. It was one of the first of the unsuccessful agents I tried.

If the front (of the RV or TV) is waxed, the majority of products mentioned will remove the wax...along with the bugs.

Does Bounce remove wax? I'm going to use it on everything anyhow because of it's ability to get the job done.

I don't know if Bounce removes the wax, but the time and effort saved by using it will leave you plenty of time to put on another coat. If I need to clean something difficult to clean, I don,t worry about the wax because wax isn't difficult to replace.
