TIVO

Has anyone attempted to run a 2nd coax cable to enable dual simultaneous
recordings when on Direct TV?

Does the factory installed rg6 run free or is it stapled or otherwise attached in the run from outside
to the TV? What I was thinking of trying was to tape a new cable to the outside con nector along with a snake wire and pull it to the TV then use the snake wire to pull the original back.

The original cable is routed 'in out and around' You would have to find a new route for the cable, I'm afraid.
What rig do you have and where are you located Benford, down in Florida?
Welcome to the Forum, an interesting place here, plenty of nice folk.

Pilot,

Yes I have run 3 seperate feeds of RG-6 on my install of direct TV in both the bedroom(1) and living area(2-DVR). I helped the installer route the all the coax and worked out very good for my portable dish set up. By going totally separate I can view both the dish signal or antenna signal for the locals without having to get up. Very happy with the set up.

Good luck...
