Protect All

http://www.protectall.com/pawax.htm

Anybody tried this stuff and is it any good? Our local RV store says it is the best product available for fibreglass and decals.

Don,
I have not used this product myself, but a good friend has his boat next to me in the marina and uses it all over his boat. He swears by it, and I will admit that boat sure looks good.

My husband loves it and uses it all the time. It really does give a nice shine and it is simple to use. One bottle is usually enough for our rv. He even uses it on the windows! This is by far his favorite product.

I started to use this last season, applies very easily with minimal buffing.

I have tried it, it is okay, does apply easy, but the shine was not any better than alot of waxes. I have used a product called Gel Gloss. I also is easy to apply, more two step than protect-all but leaves a very good shine and the bugs seem easier to get off the front cap.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will try it.

RVfirefighter, I like your quote and the take off of that, "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present."

I guess one has to make his living the way you did to truly appreciate this. I have the utmost respect for those in your profession. Take care and enjoy that retirement. You earned it.

Wrenchtraveller, a friend gave me that quote that seems approiate for the life of a retiree. As far as my profession that was first a job, but became a life of compassion for people with problems and a brotherhood that I will have forever for all in this profession. I have never met a firefighter that stayed with the job for money, it's a job that turns into a life.
Thanks

Wrenchtraveller,

I have been using Protectall on my unit since it was new. It is easy to apply and "beads" water even after being in the weather for several months. I usually apply it two times a year. Walmart is a good place to buy because of price. Look for it in the RV section.

I tried some of this after reading this post. I have tried alot of waxes over the years and this one was okay but I am kinda like the the guy who used the meguiars nxt. I have yet to find a wax that is as easy to put on as the nxt and it also wipes of easy. The protect all seem real hard to get all off with out going back a second or third time. Al

I have to agree with Big Al on this one. When I used it it would leave streak marks or smear marks, had to go over it several times to get it off and look good. I have used Meguiars for years and seems to work better and last longer. What I do use about three to four times per year is stuff from Meguiars called wet-n-wax, you spray it on while RV is wet and towel dry it, similar to Protectall but little less messy, and no streaks.
