Washing roof
I'm getting ready to scrub my roof using Oxiclean. Has anyone used this product and if so what were the results? Thanks for your input.

Be sure there are no citrus additives in any cleaner you use on your rubber roof. According to our instruction any product with citrus or petroleum can damage the rubber membrane and void your warranty.

On one unit of ours last year I used Dawn washing up liquid - recommended as it was not harsh and had no additives that may do harm.
Not too bad a job but rather do it annually rather than monthly!

I typically use Palmolive dish liquid on ours. No problems in 4 years with it.

I've washed the roof on our 1999 Montana once or twice a year with only dishwashing liquid soap as the owner's manual suggests with satisfactory results. Last season for the first time I also applied Thetford Rubber Roof Cleaner & Conditioner. The roof looks like new.
Be careful up there, it can get real slick. Felt soled fly-fishing boots seem to help with traction.

I use the Thetford Rubber roof cleaner and conditioner as well and am amazed at how white the roof is when finished. That baby looks brand new. I will agree work your way from the nose to the tail as it does get slick afer you scrub and rinse the roof.

Something I need to do here shortly however, I'm no longer the thin, light individual I was in my youth Anyone know what weight limit for the ladder and roof (I top out a little over 210).

There's a recent topic that answers your specific question. I think you're a lightweight by this forum's standards. Probably a search of 'roof weight' or something similar will pull up that enlightning discussion. :0)
