Bryce to Moab Route

We are currently at a KOA in Cannonville, UT and will be heading to
Arches NP on Sunday. Our question is should be go back to 89 and take it to I-70, or should we continue Scenic Byway 12 onto 24 thru Capital Reef and then catch I-70. Always trust your opinions...We have never traveled these roads, but are used to Nothern CA and Oregon roads with twists and turns, just don't want to have to make a wrong route decision. Other people have said yes go the scenic way, you will see Capital Reef NP that way, others have said no way would I go that way. Any input from the great MOC minds. Dave

No question on my route. Hwy 12 and thru Capital Reef.

Dave, we met at the Zion Campground burger place and we are following in your wake to Bryce and then Arches. Let me know if you take 12. I did some research and it looks mighty twisting and narrow and high and then low. I was going to take the long way around.

You need to run Hwy 12 with or without your trailer. The scenery is well worth the drive. I have driven 12 several times with trailers and motorhomes and never had an doubts except the power issue with a gas burning motorhome.
