Black water tank systems

I wasn't sure where to put this, so I hope this is an OK forum to post it. We have a 2007 3400RL that we lived in full time for 16 months while we built our (hopefully last) stick house. We are moved in now, and the house is set up to accommodate the Monty for trips - coming and going - with a 50 amp hookup, water, and a sewer access. The sewer access is uphill from the street, so I am looking in to the options to dump the black tank with one of the macerating pumps. I know CW carries at least two different systems - one that is hooked up as needed, and one that was advertised in their last magazine that is permanently installed. Anyone have any experience with either? Any advice will be appreciated.

I built my own because the macerator pump was cheaper (same pump as CW). Have pumped over 120 feet with no problem and I believe it's the only way to go if you are not any closer to a sewer inlet. I used to do it with my blue boy 25 gal tote but I've since left that stored on my lot in Lakewood, NM.

Check the marine stores for macerator pumps and sewage solutions. They sell many more pumps and systems than the RV stores.

Stiles has one of those new-fangled sewer systems as well, he quite happy with it.
I am old school, and think that a big old sewer pipe is good for me. That nasty stuff scares me.....

But Ozz, I don't think you can run that sewage up hill as he posted. If I had to do it I would certainly want a macerator. There's no mess. Not any more than you have with a normal sewer hose. BTW, it's always important to have a box of latex gloves available.

You are right when you say that I don't pump uphill. The water jet would handle mild inclines for short distances(30' or less), but not extensive up hill operations.

By-the-way, the nozzle broke off my Sewer Solution (not while dumping) and was replaced by manufacturer. The new part arrived today and it is redesigned with a hardier construction than the old pump. Atta boy Product #9. It took me all of 10 minutes or less to reattach the hose and set it up again.

Gotta agree with you, love my Sewer Solution; for pumping uphill, a 3 foot rise in 70 feet worked for me, but was real slow.

If there is any more rise, I would suggest the macerator like Orv suggests.
