Best way to remove pine pitch off of the rubber roof?

It's going to take a solvent of some type, yet I know any petroleum distillate is a no-no on a rubber roof. Ideas?

We got a good coat at working at Okeefenoke National Wildlife Refuge and tried everything. Finally traded the rig in and bingo, got a totally clean roof. Sorry couldn't help it, but I tried a lot things and still even have some on the truck and car.

It's not hurting anything and you can't see it from the ground. The best thing to do if forget about it. You will do more damage trying to get it off than its worth.

Google searches say cooking oil is the natural home remedy or hand sanitizer or good old fashion Windex.

My Montana, along with my truck, lives under a leaky pine tree. I have had great success cleaning off the pitch using Isopropyl alcohol.

Agree. Had the same thing happen once. it will eventually come off as the roof sheds the white.
