I'm a ford guy so a 350 single wheel for me with the 6.7. Although I could care less what anyone chooses to tow with. If it works for you and your happy more power to you.

I pull my 326 Mountaineer with a 1997 F 350 7.3 Powerstroke. Bought this truck new in 97 and it's time for a little more power. IM considering to order a 2013 Ford F 350 Dualie this fall.

Pull our 3402RL with a 2008 F-450 4 X 4 w/tow command and 488 gearing. Not great mileage, but pulls well and has been trouble free.

Can't resist here. In honor of a thread that started in 2007, we have had two rigs, both pulled by a 2007 Chevy Classic Silverado 3500 DRW DA CC. Hopefully by the end of this year we will be able to proudly report that we have surpassed the 45,000 mile mark on the truck. It is a great truck, with a great engine and transmission that has no pollution control garbage glued onto it and I think I will keep it!!

I think there should be a new poll started. The trucks and engine/transmissions available in 2007 are much improved/changed now in 2013.

However, a Chevy guy will still only buy a Chevy. That said, as a Ford guy, when I sat out to buy a truck a couple of months ago, I knew I was going to buy a DRW something. We looked at Fords till the wife finally said she did not like the interiors. To her they looked old and the body style had not changed in years.

OK, if the wife is not happy, and after 46 years with this one, I am not going to start over. So it was either a Chevy or a Dodge. No way in hell was I going to buy a GM anything, so off to the Dodge Dealer.

We looked at the different models ST, SLT and then a Laramie with the large center console, all the electronics, and a seat on her side with lots of buttons. Done deal.

With 4,000 miles and having only towed once from Indiana back to Missouri when we bought our 2014 3150RL, I feel we made the best decision for us. A 2012 Ram 3500 DRW Laramie.

I've added a few things since this pic. Chrome steps, Hitch

We have a 2006 F350 4X4 Crew Cab Lariat 6.0 Diesel. It has towed our previous 5th wheel very well. We pick up our new 3582rl this Friday. It is 1000 lbs heavier and will be interesting to see how it tows.
