Water Hose

I'm curious. Does anyone use the same hose you use for your fresh water to plug into tank cleaning connection?

I have always used two separate hoses and never crossed the two. I know the tank cleaning internal pipes have a backwash valve but I have always been leery of using the fresh water hose to do that job.

I usually have a Y adapter and the water source and keep both available but it seems like they keep breaking.

Hope that is not to stupid of a question.

Thanks

Black hose for black tank related use. White for fresh water supply works for me.

Since I put my own external backflow preventer on, I do use one of my regular water hoses.

Two separate hose used here. I also spray the faucet, for fresh water hook up at the park with alcohol before connecting. Seen to many people touch that, after working with black tank hoses with out gloves.

We also do this. Twice have seen people let their dogs pee on faucets low to the ground.

I have my hose, the blue coil one from the hookup for the outside faucet hooked up to the backflush, leave it that way unless I really need to use the hose. No problem so far and no need for more hoses! Just sayin.

Ditto nunya on the blue coiled hose hookup to the flusher, although I do still carry a gray hose (in case I manually do flushing) as well as an assortment of different length white hoses (drinking).

Unfortunately most dump stations at or near the lakes we frequent have non-exixtant whips or smashed hose ends on the whip by the dump hole. Rolling out a hose to the non potable water spigot gets "weekend warriors" patience used up quick as they want to get it dumped and get on home. Ha! We just dump a couple of 3 gal buckets of water down the toilet and call it good till we come upon a situation that we can leisurely use the tank flush.

Anyone use the outside show hose to hook into the back tank flush? I have used at dump site (when there not a line) to use what left in the hot water heater/fresh water tank to flush with.

It's a single white hose and the coiled blue hose here for the flusher as well. A word of caution, we never leave the blue hose connected to the flusher after use, always disconnect at the quick connect and drain when done flushing.
