New Big Sky features vs my 05

I got to study a 10th Anniv Big Sky at the New Orleans RV Show.

Not enough changes to motivate an upgrade, but very nice.

For example:

Hingeless Cabinet doors with real hardwood frames.
Full Extension drawer glides (I've upgraded some of mine to this).
Real Corian countertop vs plastic knockoff.

Big LCD TV of course.

Electric/Remote Control Patio Awning.

Room for 40lb Propane tanks (more easily handled 30Lb provided)

Mor-Ryde suspension and Kingpin.

Swinging (Extendable?) Sewer drain pipe.

Small rear hitch included.

Dometic Convection Microwave (unless I got this confused with another - several RVs have the Apollo unit).

Newer Dometic Thermostat compared to the "flaky" one I have.

Leather furniture vs Suede.

The front of the trailer frame is lowered or "extended" so now the basement is much bigger and flat. That's the one feature I would most desire as my basement is like a shelf that only has about 2' of clearance. But I wonder how "sturdy" that is over the long / hard road.... Its also much closer to the ground of course.

I think it weighed almost 14K lbs so a lot heavier too.

But the carpet is still the same! I think the floor was flat all the way without a last entry step inside like on mine.

May have to upgrade in a few years!

I liked the 3670 floor plan of our 2003 Big Sky, but Dianna likes the U-kitchen, double wide refrigerator, flat floor in the bedroom, and no "killer" inside step. The bigger flat screen TV and fireplace were nice additions, but it was Dianna's upgrades that caused us to trade.

They are nice new features - every year it seems!

Never thought about the additional height for the LP cylinders.
