Great, just when I can get out of the snow they figure out a new cool way to have fun with it.

My hometown fire department has a suburban with the actual triangle track system on it for winter rescue of stranded vehicles and being able to get to houses that may have a medical emergency when we're in blizzard or extremely heavy snow periods. I think they've used it three or four time over the last few years. We haven't had any really bad snows here in Nebraska-at least in our area- over the last few years. Since 911 the local fire department has increased their fleet of trucks and vehicles by at least tripling their fleet, thanks to government grants! We now have two squads, an aerial, three pumpers, the suburban, three grass fire vehicles and a 4X4 ATV that can be used for both grass fires and off road rescues.

Very nice! Wonder if they would make one for Bigboomer? Now I have to figure out what to say to the DW to convince her this is a must have........wish me luck now because once she disposes of my body it will be too late!

Looks like something that will get you so far off the beaten track you will have to wait until spring to get it out

Tom-- Those are the tracks that our fire department has on their suburban. It's not pretty but they can go nearly anywhere with or without snow including muddy fields and etc.

This is what we miss out on here in Texas. We are so busy camping all winter that we do not have time to dream up this stuff.

Mattracks makes them for everything from ATV's to Farm Tractors. They come in pretty handy for low ground pressure applications. I thing they even make one for big boomer!
