Both of us Vienam Era, but never got called to cross the water. Did my remote in Thule, Greenland and a long tour in Torrejon, Spain.

'70-'90 USMC. Mustang. Private to Gunnery Sergeant (Select) then 2ndLt to Major (Select). Started as a grunt and got smart and landed a job behind a desk. My first and only command was being given the chance to be the Battalion Commanding Officer of H&SBn, School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton, CA.

Thank you all for your service. I was too stubborn to take my Dads advise and go in the Navy (he retired SCPO on 1971 with 20 plus years) which sometimes I kick myself for and other times I don't because I would be where I am now and possibly wouldn't have what I have (friends included).
