Tire pressure: 80psi front, 55psi rear?

Just a quick reality check. Our 2001 3280RL Montana’s information plate says I should pump up the front tires to 80psi and the rears tires to 55psi. Typo? 55psi seems kinda low to me.

I think you are right. Try 80 pounds each and I hope you don’t have the China Bombs on and have replaced them with a good set of LT or G rated tires.

Oops, my bad. I read the wrong number. The pressure is printed off to the right and, sure enough, it’s 80psi.

The placard is for the tires that were originally installed. The pressures may change with different tires installed.

It's not 55 psi rear, but actually 551 kpa, and the 80 psi is printed over existing printing on the label. So, the label is correct, 80 psi front and rear.

Is there a difference between 80 psi no load to 80 psi tires under load. I'm assuming the manufacture wants 80 psi with trailer tires on the ground under load?

No difference. 80 PSI is 80 PSI. The only thing that affects PSI is temperature. Cold reduces and heat increases it. Always set the tires "cold".
