Thumbs up Wife's Birthday Cake!

I thought I would spoil her this year. I got out the cake pan and put her favorite cake box in it so everything would be ready for her to make the cake when she gets home! I even thought ahead and used just one really tall candle so it wouldn't remind her how old she really was turning!

I think this is really thoughtful of me! I should score some really good points this year!!

As a moderator of this great forum I should remove this post for the inappropriate comment about age, but since you think you were being so thoughtful I decided to leave it here to inspire the other members of the forum to be thoughtful also. :-)

Thanks for the laugh.

I hope you realize that you have set a very high standard for the rest of us who have wives with birthdays. Thanks for the chuckle anyway. Also, thanks to the moderator for allowing such foolishness.

Nice thought but if I tried that, I'd be sleeping on the couch for sure.

I'm glad your DW has a good sense of humor.

Wife's birthday was yesterday. She had a pretty good giggle out of her birthday cake. I added a tub of frosting in the pan, a butane lighter, a party hat, noise-maker horn, and a couple of confetti poppers so there could be some extra celebration.

I explained to her, in addition to not reminding her about her age, the single candle was also eco-friendly with a smaller carbon footprint, and besides, that if we put the traditional number of candles on it, all of that additional heat would probably just melt the frosting.

Birthday card:

Front - Birthdays are like boogers.
Inside - The more you have, the harder it is to breathe.
