Need new truck tires, suggestions

Hello all,

My '12 Ram 3500 DRW is going to be due for tires this winter. 235/80/17.

Any suggestions, anything but Michelin's.

Thanks Jim

New truck came with firestone. I will install Michelin when they wear out.

I just replaced with Continental HS3. I've had 2 sets of the older version of HSR-1. They average well over 80,000 miles per set. They're quiet, tough and handle all our loads. Our rig is a Big Sky 3800RE. We also use our slide in truck camper and tow the boat as a combined rig. We're using the HS3 19.5/245 tire on our 2006 Silverado 3500 SW 4X4. You must use commercial truck rim. We have Vision rims for these great tires.

Our truck came with Michelins, which were good, but the last couple of times, went with Nitto Terra Grappler G2, of course a different size than yours, but I get much better traction and they wear at least as long as the Michelins. They are also made in the USA.

Hi

I am having extremely good luck with the Firestone Transforce tire. Now have the third set on the Duramax and have 5 other trucks running on them as well.

I am also very happy with the Coopers I installed 37,000 miles ago. Still in great shape.

Have also had good results from the Firestone Transforce.

I'm happy with my Toyo Open Country AT2. Deep tread, not loud on pavement and are wearing well.
