LevelUp & Storage

When storing your Monty equipped with the LevelUp system, do you engage auto leveling or just put the front jacks down?

Our 3402 sits for 6 months while in Florida for the winter. Level up does fine and does not move at all.

When we are at home, we auto level the RV. Obviously when we are traveling we auto level then too. So effectively it is auto leveled all the time.

The only thing you should do, according to Lippert, is use a silicone spray occasionally on the exposed part of the hydraulic rams, mostly to protect to aluminum from corrosion, more often if you are near salt air.

I am parked on level ground in the Winter so I just put the front jacks down and leave the others up so the aluminum rams are not exposed all Winter.

I am parked on a concrete slab under a roof when home and have it on auto level all the time. I believe it is better to have the frame level and supported to keep stress off the whole unit. Just my opinion.

Our storage lot is not level side to side so I manually level it while stored.

I so sray the tubes on a regular basis when stored at least once a month.

We leave today for the ocean go razor clam all week and I will spray them after we get set up.

Ours was in a shed on concrete since last Nov., just got it out last week (YaHoo). Anyway, it was level side to side, so all I did was raise the front, got TV out of the way and leveled front to back. Did not auto-level. It's a learning process (first time with level up), just figured why use rams that aren't needed. Pulled battery and everything was fine all winter.

When we store ours at home, it is on concrete and under a metal shed so I just use the front legs so not exposing the others. I try to keep it as level as possible, but not auto-leveled.
