Help regarding visiting the Montana plant in Goshen

We are planning a trip back east from our home in Lake Tahoe next May. We will be in the Goshen area around June 5th + or - and was wondering what the best RV park was near them, and if we can take a tour of the factory, and if we need anything done to our RV, could they do that with some notice of course. Plus do they have units to look at? Thanks What is the actual address of the plant?

I can tell you about part of your question. There is an RV park in Elkart very close to Goshen called Elkart Campground. Looks decent on their website. We will also be there next May for a factory tour. I doubt that the factory would do any work on your RV but Tiara RV is also in Elkart. I have seen mixed reviews about their service department but they do carry Montanas at very good prices. Ask for Jim in sales. Pete's RV about 100 miles west of Elkart also carries Montanas at great prices. Go to this website for information on the plant tours:

The Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds in Goshen are 5 minutes away. You can call Keystone Service (866-425-4369) and discuss your visit, issues you have with your rig and what can be done. There physical address is 2425 Davis Drive Goshen, IN. You can also tour the Montana Plant (Plant 4) just down the road from the Service Department. Tours for that plant are on a specific day during the week. Just let them know when you plan to visit. You can also contact your dealer salesman and request he contact the Montana Regional Salesperson for your area and perhaps they can meet with you while there.

Best Regards.

We have stayed at both the Elkart Campground (nice park) and the fairgrounds (ok). Have had work done at Tiara and a major issue fixed at the Service Center. Good experiences all around.

About 20-30 min away is Shipshewana Campground which I a nice park especially if you'd like to do a little touring/sightseeing in the heart of Amish country

Yes, they allow it on your campsite. Here is the campground link http://www.shipshewanacampground.com/

Be pre-warned you may see things that alarm you on a factory tour. We toured a Forest River factory and boy was it ever an eye opener! They were working 4 day work weeks on a "slow down" and getting 34 units out per week!!! After seeing how fast they went together I was really thinking to myself, wow no way there is ANY quality control going on here!

Even with that it was still an interesting experience that I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys RVs.

Carry your smart phone and snap all the pictures you can get away with. They will come in handy when your working on your unit...
