best way to sell truck locally

Done towing, F/W on permanent site. Whats the best way to sell my truck locally. Not sure I want to list it here below & deal out of state. I have a 2005 Dodge 2500 CTD quad cab laramie 4wd auto SB with pullrite super glide, firestone a/bs, 1 ton spring pack, 111,300mi. good to excellent condition. Every maintainence Dodge calls for done Newer brakes, Michelin tires, exhaust etc. Please advise, Ray

I traded it in yesterday on a Jeep Cherokee. After discounting the Jeep 7750.00, they still gave me 18k for the truck. Said it's going right to one of their Florida dealerships due to demand there. Never expected that good of a wholesale trade offer. I was actually just fishing for info & ended up with good results. Thanks, Ray

I've used craigslist for large and small items, including vehicles and RVs. Have to be careful. List your phone no. with numbers and letters. Allow texting; seems to be popular. Don't show your specific location in an ad. Always speak directly to a person before you give them your specific location; you can tell a lot from their speech. If you dont feel comfortable with them, agree to meet at a safe place like a police or fire station, or just dismiss them. Cash and titles should be exchanged inside a bank if possible. I've never been ripped off.
