light switches...

Recently someone complained about.not being able to find the light switches in the main panel in the dark...
Well, here is a simple solution: on the lighted rocker switches there are 3 connections, carefully swap the BOTTOM connector with the CENTER one, this will make the light be on all the time... and easy to find in the dark...

OK... now I'm going to look. This has been an irritant for me. Committing switch location to memory is overload for my brain.

You forget to say cut the power off. But if anybody who would take this advice maybe its best to leave the power on. It's improving the gene pool.

Well I want to know where these 12 VDC luminated switches are to be purchased, because I want to buy some. I do have fuses that light up when they blow but thats a different topic. also what is the amp draw on those lights if boon docking, or dry camping.

The switches are the standard ones that come with the Mt....
However you can buy them at an.rv dealer.or have the dealer.order them from Keystone...
My control panel came with lighted switches, the problem.was that they only came on when.you turned on the light... well after the lite is on, The lite in the switch is useless, so that is the reason for the change, so the.switch could be easily.located in the dark...
As far as the power consumption, if you.purchase led type switches it would be negligible...

I have installed an.led for the inside steps, a switch for the water pump in the bathroom and the bathroom lite as well as the entrance light inside, all switch lites are always on... Total draw is 23.5ma of which.20ma are for the step led...
As you can see it is not going to drain the battery for a long, long time....

I just installed an battery powered LED light to the left side of the entrance on the first step inside the door! It has a blue cast to it and has a motion sensor on it so when the door is opened and it senses movement at the entrance it comes on and there's plenty of light to see and turn on the light switches on the wall. It also turns off automaticly in about 15 seconds or so bu slowly dimming! Oh, and I got it at Harbor Freight for about $4-5.00(at the most)! Have put one in the throne room also so we don't have to turn on the lights if we get up in the middle of the night!
