Update on evacuation progress for Dianna

We have secured a non-stop flight from Toronto to Houston Wednesday AM. From the airport, she will be taken directly to the clinic for evaluation and, hopefully, admitted to the facility with surgery soon to follow. At this point, my greatest concern is the transfers that have to be made at each point, i.e., bed to wheel chair, chair to ground transportation, at airport and then onto airplane, etc. I will be accompanying her. We have a bulkhead seat for me to rig up a way to keep her left leg elevated.

We were fortunate to have frequent flyer points to secure this flight at the cost of only tax and minor fees, less than $300 total. Since it is a round trip ticket, I will return Sunday, Oct, 7, to gather my truck and then go back to the Akron, NY area to collect the Montana to drive it back to Texas. I am figuring a 4-day trip via Walmart hopping.

I want to thank all of you for the prayers and support. Thank you who have offered help in retrieving the Montana. With my truck on the Canadain side and the Montana on the American side, the logistics of getting them together seem to be something I must attend myself. Never-the-less, the offers have been heart warming and hope giving.

The Monty is secure in an Akron campground at Passport America rates. With the support of your prayers and very helpful Canadian friends, and support from our daughter living in Houston. God seems to be providing a way of escape in time of overwhelming trial.

Stiles,
Glad to hear that things are coming together. Best wishes. You still have my number if necessary or things change re. Monty retrieval. We bought an Emergency Medical RV policy before our last trip for situations like yours. I'll have to check my policy re. being "out of the country." Hope everything works out w/Dianna's transportation and medical attention, followed by a speedy recovery. You know your MOC friends are with you!

Glad things are getting worked out. Be careful on that 4-day trip without your copilot! God Bless.

Something like this surely puts one to a test, especially on the road...I'm so glad you are able to stay on top of it. Way to go!
With your efforts, things are going to work out just fine.
Best wishes to Dianna for a positive outcome, and to both of you for a quick recovery.
