Colorado Members Heading to National Rally

We are going to Goshen for the Rally. Is there anyone else going from Colorado?

We are leaving from NW of Fort Collins. Our 16th Goshen Rally. We go straight out 80. There is a really nice CG at Lake Carlyle in Carlyle, Illinois along the way if you are going the southern route. It is an easy drive to Goshen the next day. It’s a COE park, so half price with Senior Parks Pass. Full hookups for about $12.

For those heading from Colorado, we’ve been taking the trip from Colorado to Illinois/Indiana for a lot of years. The Casino in Joliet is probably the best campground before hitting Indiana. If you are coming from the south route, Lake Carlyle COE campground is really nice. We generally stop for a few days in Joliet to visit grandkids before going to Goshen.

There is also a very nice COE campground at Coralville lake just north of Iowa City right off I-80. Try to get in the Linder Point Campground. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/272091
