Altimeter on NUVI 350

Some of you have been wanting an altimeter - on the NUVI 350 and maybe others, if you tap the signal meter area (top left corner when in Menu mode), it will show you the satellites it is looking for as well as the altitude. Found it by accident.

The GPS-18 has a "status" pull down that gives you speed, heading, elevation and a bunch of other stuff including high , low and average speed. I call it "the snitch"

Mike, I love that feature on my Lowrance iWay500c. It is one of my view options along with all the other stuff like mph, distance traveled, distance to destination etc. Seems like the more info I can get the happier I am....even if the DW thinks it irrelevant!

The Garmin 2720 has an option to display altitude on the main screen all the time, along with several other options that can be displayed. I would guess the Nuvi has a similar option?
