What are you doing on Thanksgiving (Away)
We got here at Lake Havasu City at a small park (Prospectors) thinking of just staying 3 days, the people are so nice, the park is nice, we extended to the 1st of the year. The camp folks are supplying potatoes, Ham, Turkey, dressing, and all the rest. (We will bring a couple of Cherry pies) I guess most campgrounds are doing something similar?

We're on the other end of the stick. Since we work all the time we usually go out for Thanksgiving, but hopefully this will be our last year in the stick house so we are having the entire local extended family over for the big smoked turkey and smoked ham feast. From the point of view of the kids and their families I guess the park is providing most of the dinner also.

It must be something that Central Plains folks do! We're having Two Turkeys(one smoked and one cooked in the oilless turkey fryer), a smoked ham, mashed spuds, candied sweet potatoes, greenbeen casserole, raisin/broccali salad, orange salad, cranberry relish/salad,jellied cranberry sauce, rolls and butter, pecan pie and pumpkin dessert, sweet and unsweetened ice tea, several wine choices and coffee. Should be plenty of merriment over the day. Prior to dinner in the morning for breakfast is an egg casserole, fresh pineapple on the side, toast with numerous flavors of jams and jellies, several juices and coffee, tea or milk!
They will have to roll me out for the next day of Black Friday shopping! Ya right, as if I'm heading out there with all the nuts! They are even opening at midnight on Thanksgiving to get the people in early here in Omaha! No thanks, I like my sleep to much for that stuff! I'm not about to fight a crowd to buy any gifts I need to buy!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone from our house to yours!
OOPS! Forget the cornbread dressing and turkey giblet gravy with the dinner too!

Our RV park is having Turkey Dinner also. I think most parks try to make a celebration event for all park clients!
Enjoy! And Happy Thanksgiving!!! We will be at our daughter's house 20 miles away. Last year.... we were in Mobile, Alabama getting the rear-end of the trailer repaired! We are thankful to be here with family this year!!!

Jim, We are just up the road from you, just north of Needles, we did the same thing, thought we'd stay a week and we are staying a month at Palms River Resort, great people. Tomorrow the owners of the park are supplying Turkeys and drinks and everyone else is bringing something, should be close to 70 at dinner. We should get together.

We are having dinner with the folks that we met here in Gulf State Park last year. Good couple and we will be having all the fixings here too. They don't do anything here in the state park for turkey day, but Christmas we will have a CG get together bringing a dish to pass and there will be over 150 if its anything like last year.
Happy Thanksgiving all..........take care and don't forget, remember our troops overseas. Be thankful for our Veterans and thier families that are not home for this holiday. Thank you all for your sacrifices once again!!!!
Dave

It will be an all day affair. DW cooked all day yesterday and I cleaned and vacuumed. We will have 20 or more and PLENTY OF FOOD. Our youngest son and family in Calif. will not come but all others will, plus some friends. One friend I've known since high school, who has no family will complete the group and all will eat too much. We will certainly recognise Jehovah Jirah, our provider. Bless you all and many more years. Larry

Kat & I are putting it all together for our park. We are preparing the turkey, ham, pulled pork, mashed potatoes and dressing. Everyone else is bringing something to share. Should be fun!

Glad you found a good spot, so far we love it here. We have to leave Jan 1, I'm thinking we may head to needles before the jump down the highway; 95? to Palm Springs, but we will try to head up your way on a day trip in December. Would like to meet you two.

Although the park has a Thanksgiving dinner, we've always just preferred for it to be the two (three, including the dog) of us on this day. I made a pumpkin pie for DH and a pecan pie for me yesterday, the rest of the meal will be fixed this morning, then it's "strap on the feed bag" for the rest of the day and watching football!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

Our park is doing something different, they're supplying Turkey Subs and everyone else is bringing a dessert.

Spent part of it in St. Joe's Hospital. We took our daughter up Thanksgiving dinner and took one of the dogs to cheer her up.

We land in Auckland, New Zealand on Thanksgiving. No turkey celebrations here, just another day. We will be coming home on Christmas Day.
