New Montana owner

Hi fellow Montana owners,
Since we bought our new rig at the end of camping season up here in NH, we have all Winter to outfit with accessories. We are looking into putting a flat screen tv in the basement so we can watch tv outside. What is everyone using for mounts? I have looked at 3 different models that are made by MORryde, but am not sure which one to get. We like the idea of the slide out and flip down model https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Verti...76572785F01ECD It would help keep the tv up and out of the way. Your thoughts of what you use would be helpful. Thank you!

Welcome from Arizona. I have thought of doing the same and would get the drop down one also.

You don't say what model and year you have. The older rigs had a 12v TV in the bedroom and you unhooked the mount from the bedroom and it mounted on the wall in in the basement. If you have a new unit and don't have that arrangement, Moryde makes several kinds and some are even available on Amazon.

Well Cleve65, I would venture a guess most if they want an Exterior TV, got a rig with it already. Your posted mount looks like a good selection - just make sure after a TV is mounted it swings/slides where you need it. I would also consider adding an additional strap to hold it up for transit - an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Welcome aboard - look forward to seeing pics of the finished project.

Welcome to the forum, this is a great place to share and learn. We have an external TV in our rig but have yet to actually use it.

We have a 2016 3791 and I installed a Moride TV40-002H Horizonial slider mount for a 42" tv. Very heavy duty mount, Locks in place and I don't have to worry about a weak mount giving away going down the road. We have used it for a couple of years with great service. It extends the tv out of the compartment and swivels to various angles. I highly recommend it.

Welcome to the forum. We have though about adding an outside tv to our new 5th wheel. Our basement hookups are in the front pass thru and as such the straight pull out and twist mount will work better for us but we will have to keep the compartment door open while using the tv and I am not sure the location is ideal. The pull out flip down you are looking at would be great in our rear storage if we just had the tv hookups back there. However it says it pulls out 17" and then flips down. I wonder if it is limited to a 17" tall tv?
